J&K Police Neutralizes Pakistani LeT Terrorist Yasir
The Jammu and Kashmir Police has identified Yasir, a Pakistani LeT terrorist killed in Operation Ashdar, highlighting intensified efforts to combat terrorism.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police announced on Friday that they successfully neutralised a terrorist identified as Yasir, a Pakistani national linked to the banned terrorist outfit, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). This operation, known as Operation Ashdar, signifies an ongoing commitment by security forces to eliminate terrorism in the region.
In a post shared across social media platforms, Jammu and Kashmir Police made the announcement with a bold message: “You Can Run But You Can’t Hide!” The post confirms that Yasir was involved in various terrorist activities as a member of LeT, a group notorious for its violent operations across India.
This development occurs during a critical phase of intensified counter-terror operations in Jammu and Kashmir, especially aimed at tracking and neutralising foreign terrorists who pose a significant threat to the local population’s security. The region has seen an upsurge in such initiatives in recent weeks.
Officials report that security forces have ramped up surveillance and intelligence-driven operations, particularly in vulnerable areas known for high infiltration risks. Introducing key strategic deployments, these efforts focus on dismantling established terrorist networks before they can carry out attacks.
In light of recent trends, experts urge greater collaboration between local communities and law enforcement officials. “Efforts to combat terrorism become more effective when residents actively participate in local intelligence,” said a senior police official. This highlights the importance of community involvement in boosting the fight against terrorism.
The relentless fight against terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir underscores a broader strategy employed by Indian security forces. Enhanced coordination between the police, intelligence agencies, and military units ensures a robust response to terrorist threats.
In the past months, the region has seen significant operations that aim to destabilise the foundations of terrorist groups. The emphasis on local collaborations aims to reassure citizens while simultaneously empowering them to stand against terrorism.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police’s proactive approach also resonates with security challenges across the nation, as terror groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba continue to recruit and radicalise youth. Continued vigilance is crucial in thwarting their operations.
